Ministrica Pusić primila u nastupni posjet latvijskog veleposlanika
The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia, Vesna Pusić, met with the newly appointed Latvian Ambassador, Imants Viesturs Liegis. They acknowledged the good bilateral relations between Croatia and Latvia and identified potential for enhanced cooperation. Key discussion points included Latvia's upcoming presidency of the European Union in January 2015, with a focus on priorities such as competitiveness, the digital single market, and EU dialogue with Central Asian countries. The Ambassador also highlighted Latvia's support for the political and economic integration of Eastern Partnership countries and announced Riga as the host city for the fourth Eastern Partnership summit in May 2015. The ministers expressed satisfaction with the growing tourism cooperation, including new direct flights between Riga and Rijeka. The Latvian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edgars Rinkēvičs, is also expected to attend the Croatia Forum in Dubrovnik from July 10-12.
