Croatian and its Dalmatian islands were recognized as among the most beautiful tourist destinations in the world for 2007 by readers of the American magazine 'Travel + Leisure'. Croatia ranked second in the Mediterranean and seventh globally. The magazine's awards consider ecology and cultural-historical heritage.
