Jurica Sabol - Kreativni ambasador mjeseca listopada
Jurica Sabol, geologist, curator, and head of the Krapina Neanderthal Museum and Hušnjakovo site, has been appointed Creative Ambassador for the Culture sub-programme for October. The Krapina Neanderthal Museum, a recipient of the European Heritage Label in 2016, is renowned for its significant collection of Neanderthal remains and has hosted nearly a million visitors since its opening. Sabol, actively involved in international networks like 'Ice Age Europe' and representing the museum in European Heritage Label initiatives, is pursuing a doctorate in geology and paleontology. The museum has fostered successful international collaborations, including a notable exhibition in Cerknica, Slovenia, and actively participates in national heritage events. Recognized for its successful international cultural cooperation, the museum was highlighted as a best practice example at a recent EHL conference in Brussels. The European Heritage Label, an initiative of the European Commission under the Creative Europe programme, is awarded to locations symbolizing European history, the development of the European Union, and fundamental European values.
