UNICEF Delivers 13.5 Tons of Protective Tarpaulins to Aid Earthquake Victims in Croatia
UNICEF has donated 13.5 tons of protective tarpaulins, including 2300 tarpaulins of 4x5m and 100 of 4x50m, from its warehouse in Copenhagen to the Civil Protection Directorate's Logistics Center in Jastrebarsko. This equipment will be distributed to areas most affected by recent earthquakes to help families protect their property from further damage due to adverse weather conditions. Damir Trut, Assistant Minister of the Interior, expressed gratitude for UNICEF's swift response and the donation of specialized waterproof materials. Regina M. Castillo, UNICEF Representative in Croatia, emphasized UNICEF's commitment to providing long-term support, including psychosocial assistance and educational support, and called for further donations to help children and families in the affected regions.
